This Friday, Lyngby City Hall will open its doors for Lyngby Day 2026, an afternoon aimed at internationals, students, newcomers, friends and families who would like to learn more about life and opportunities in Lyngby-Taarbæk.
The event takes place on Friday, 4 September from 16:00 to 19:00 and offers participants the opportunity to meet Mayor Sofia Osmani, local organisations and other internationals living in the area.
The purpose of Lyngby Day is to make it easier for internationals to become part of the local community. Visitors can learn more about career opportunities, cultural and sports activities, family life and the many possibilities for volunteering and networking in Lyngby-Taarbæk.
Meet the local community
A number of local organisations and institutions will take part in the afternoon, including Lyngby International Club, Internationals of Denmark, Lyngby International Rotary Club, Lyngby Library, Red Cross Mentoring Programme, Volunteer Centre & Self-Help and Lundtofte International Choir.
The Volunteer Centre will also be present and will highlight the importance of civil society and volunteering as a way of creating connections between people and becoming involved in the local community.
There will be plenty of opportunities to talk with representatives from the participating organisations, discover new activities and connect with fellow internationals over a drink in an informal setting.

Lyngby Day 2026 takes place at Lyngby City Hall on Friday, 4 September from 16:00 to 19:00.
Admission is free, but registration is required. Participants can register via the QR code on the event flyer or through the Science City Lyngby website.
